After a great summer of special activities at the library, our popular children’s programming resumes in September. Ms. Casey will be ready for your youngsters and grandkids on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 11:00 for Story Time. Preschoolers aged 2 1/2 to 5 years can drop by on Tuesdays and babies and toddlers aged 3 months to 2 years should visit on Thursdays. Preschoolers are also welcome to special Wednesday activities also at 11:00 as well as Builder’s Club after school at 4:00 for kids up to 12. 4Corners City Gym Pokémon Club will gather again on the 16th. For questions and all the details, visit www.mylakelibrary.org to access the Cagan library calendar, call (352)243-1840, or email email@example.com.
Recently new to the library is a program called “Indoor Walkaerobics for Everyone”. Why wait until New Year’s to think about getting in shape? Join Ms. KC Tuesdays at 6:00 for a 30-minute aerobic fitness walk for tweens up to seniors. Bring a water bottle and towel.
The Kindred Stitchers sewing and quilting group is busy and growing with lots of projects for crafters of all skill levels. Browse their display window in the library or drop by Mondays at 1:00 to participate. The Chess Club also gathers on Mondays at 5:00. There’s plenty of room for all who just want to learn or practice their skills. Escape the stress of work or the local traffic by visiting the Cagan Coloring Club also on Mondays at 6:00. Pencils and coloring sheets are provided or bring your own.
The next Friends of the Library book sale is Saturday, the 23rd from 9:00-1:30. There are still lots of popular items available, so visit again for titles you may have missed last month. If you’re busy on Saturday, the FOL book shelf in the lobby is an option when you can make time. If you’d like to join the Friends, pick up one of the brochures in the lobby or at the circulation desk. Also visit and “like” our Facebook page. Proceeds from all our book sales directly support library programs and services.
