KC is wondering why he is still hanging out at Houndhaven. He’s seen several of his friends get adopted, and he can’t figure out why he hasn’t found his forever home yet. KC was found as a stray before coming to Houndhaven. We were more than happy to have him join the Houndhaven family and he has made himself right at home here. We promised him that we would find him a family as amazing as him!
KC is a one-year-old, black lab mix. He weighs approximately 37 pounds, which makes him a nice compact size…and be a possible lap dog too! KC has enjoyed spending time with every dog he’s come in contact with, and with much enthusiasm too. He may be small, but he can hold his own while running in the play yards with all the bigger dogs. KC does well with baths and loves the toy time that comes afterwards.
Not only does KC love other dogs and toys, he LOVES to shower people with lots of love and affection. While he’s a young boy, and full of lots of energy, (it’s not off the charts crazy energy), he just wants to show you how much he loves you! The volunteers are stumped as well as to why KC hasn’t found his forever home. One of our wonderful volunteers has been taking KC to puppy school and he is one smart boy! So far he has mastered “sit”, “lay down”, “touch”, “stay”, and leash skills.
If you’ve been looking for a new addition with lots of great qualities…look no further! You’ll be the sunshine in this boy’s life and he’ll shower you every day with grateful kisses. Please visit www.houndhaven.org to review our adoption policies and procedures, and complete an application.
Haus is a sweet young boy that lost his home when his Dad became homeless. Haus is a good boy and doesn’t let anything hold him back. He loves the company of other dogs, all humans including kids. He is not a fan of cats. He is a good listener, walks well on a leash and is eager to please. He loves to roll around in the grass, play ball and tug of war. What would Haus want for his next home? He would love to find someone who wants to spend all their time with him. A family that is committed to him for the rest of his life. His wish is to have a human companion to love him and he will stick to them like glue. Come and meet this sweetie pie and you just may be lucky enough to have a new best friend who will worship the ground you walk on. Please call 352-240-1583 if you would like to meet Haus.

Jessi is a 4 month old Pomeranian and Chihuahua Blend puppy. She’s going to stay small, probably less than 15 lbs fully grown. Jessi is just a bit shy around new people and new dogs, but she quickly warms up once she’s had a chance to sniff and observe her new friends. Jessi is not housetrained, but she will learn quickly with gentle training and consistency. Jessi has a sister, Jamie, who is just as cute as she is, and who is ALSO looking for a home!
