Boomerang Park Set to Reopen Following $220k Renovation

Posted on Friday, July 27, 2018 at 1:30 am

The City of Haines City’s Boomerang Park, located in the Oakland neighborhood, boasting a beautiful heavy oak tree canopy, recently received some new renovations and is set to reopen early next week.
As a part of the $220,000 project, the park received several upgrades including new fencing, two new playground structures, new seating and shade structures and updated landscaping. Many of the site furnishings and playground structures were outdated, damaged and non-functional.
“I am excited about the upgrades at Boomerang Park as some of the equipment dates back to the 1970’s,” said Parks and Recreation Director, Terrell Griffin “It’s a great place for kids and families to play and make life-long memories.”
City Commission, Administration and Parks and Recreation staff invite you to join us for the grand reopening on Tuesday, July 31 at 11:00 a.m. The park is located at 704 Ave C in Haines City and is open from sunrise to sunset.
