As Celebrate Recovery marks its 4-year anniversary at First United Methodist Church of Clermont, hundreds of people of all ages are celebrating healing from hurts, habits and hang-ups! Come see what Celebrate Recovery is all about on Thursday, September 22nd, as we share dozens of testimonies during our 4th Anniversary Celebration.
Anniversary festivities include dinner at 5:30pm followed by cake cutting, large group worship/testimonies at 7pm, small groups at 8pm, and coffee & snacks at 9pm.
Whether it’s Grief/Loss, Family Dysfunction, Eating Disorders, Depression, Co-Dependency, Addictions, Anxiety, Anger, or Abuse, we are here to help you find healing and regain your happiness. NEW this year: Celebrate Recovery now offers support for mental health issues and veterans who come home from war.
Millions of people have gone through the Celebrate Recovery program in more than 29,000 churches worldwide. Celebrate Recovery is for ANYONE of ANY AGE to attend. It’s an opportunity to enjoy fellowship and to celebrate God’s healing power in our lives through “8 Recovery Principles” and a 12-step process.
Every Thursday, after a one-hour large group worship, we break into “gender-specific” small groups to confidentially share and discuss one of the eight recovery principles, then regroup for coffee and dessert before adjourning. First time attendees can go to the Newcomers 101 class. Middle and high school students are welcome to join us at “The Landing,” in the Youth Room, and “Celebration Place” in the Education Building is for younger children.
For more information on Celebrate Recovery, visit our website at www.fumc-clermont.org, call our church office at 352-394-2412, or come to church on Thursdays. There is free childcare available for newborns to 5th graders in the Education Building. All activities take place at the First United Methodist Church of Clermont, 950 7th Street, Clermont, FL 34711 (corner of Highway 50 & Seventh Street, downtown Clermont).
