The City of Clermont is gearing up for its annual 4th of July Red, White & Boom celebration at Waterfront Park. The free event runs from 6 p.m. – 10 p.m. and will include lots of traditional activities, such as a pie-eating contest, stilt walker and old-fashioned games, in addition to a Kids Zone and popular, returning activities, like a Most Patriotic costume contest – for people and pets.
Of course, the grand finale will be fireworks over Lake Minneola starting at 9:15 p.m.
There will be live, musical entertainment by Gary Roland and the Landsharks, a cover band performing Jimmy Buffet tunes, and dance performances at the Waterfront Pavilion.
The Kids Zone will include wet slides and bounce houses and rides on a trackless train.
The community is encouraged to bring blankets or lawn chairs to watch the fireworks.
Off-site parking is available at First United Methodist Church, at 7th Street and State Road 50, and at Clermont Middle School and Cypress Ridge Elementary on East Avenue. Free shuttles will transport guests to and from Waterfront Park.
