Registration for the FNC’s 15th Annual Golf Classic is under way. On October 28th, the F.A.I.T.H. Neighborhood Food Pantry will hold its annual shotgun start golf tournament at the Sanctuary Ridge Golf Club in Clermont.
The Feed And Instruct The Hungry Neighborhood Center (FNC) provides direct assistance (food, clothes, small appliances and financial support for utility payments and medical treatment), assistance in filing for food stamps and Medicaid, and scholarships for job training programs to support low-income families and needy individuals in South Lake County. There is never a charge for any of their services.
The center relies entirely on support from churches, service clubs, businesses, private organizations, individuals, and foundations as well from regional grants. The FNC also depends on fundraising activities like its charity golf tourney and its Dining Out program supported by local restaurants.
The FNC is looking for Lake County residents who want to be a part of the community of neighbors helping neighbors…and have some FUN at the same time!
Your participation is vital. The center relies on the generosity of people like you to help meet the basic needs of our less fortunate neighbors. The FNC seeks to raise enough funds to be able to support at least 800 families for several months.
Your registration fee of $75 buys lunch, range balls for practice, cart and greens fees, and a delicious post-tournament dinner.
All proceeds from this fundraiser stay in Lake County to provide emergency relief for families in Clermont, Minneola, Groveland, Mascotte, and all points between Montverde and the South Lake County line.
The golf tourney is open to players of all levels. It’s a FUN day with a great community of people! Please note: Deadline for registration is October 15th…teams fill up quickly!
