Posted on Monday, March 12, 2018 at 1:30 am

The 5th annual Fishing and Basic Boating Skills Camp at the Florida Scrub-Jay Trail, 11490 Montevista Road in Clermont, will be offering boys and girls the opportunity to lead by becoming a Counselor-in-Training (CIT).
During this training, CIT’s will participate in different skill sets as they navigate through each day assisting the campers in perfecting their abilities in boating safety, trolling motor and oaring operation, fishing techniques, tackle selection and much more.
The week will end with a family Fish Fry and boat rides offered by the new campers. Job shadowing and assisting counselors in the day to day operation of the camp builds leadership skills while having fun!
This year’s Camp schedule is as follows: June 4-8, June 11-15, June 18-22 2018. A variety of levels of Counselor-In-Training positions are available depending on experience.
