Aquarelle Kids Academy

There is much excitement in the Four Corners region with the continued success at Aquarelle Kids Academy. This preschool and childcare center is located in the Greater Groves Subdivision. The school is open year round and hours of operation are from 6:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. Monday to Friday. You are also invited to visit the school at any time where the friendly staff will be happy to give you a tour. The school is licensed for over 130 children aged from 6 weeks through 8 years old. When you visit dont forget to ask about the free VPK program for four year olds as well as our kindergarten prep class.

There may be nothing more important to you as a parent than making sure that your child enters kindergarten ready to learn. This unique program will be taught by our qualified VPK teachers and will have emphasis on reviewing skills included in the Kindergarten Readiness Screener Test which is administered in the elementary schools within the first 30 days of the new school year. Classes will be held daily from 9 a.m. until noon beginning on Monday, August 9th and ending on Friday, August 20th, 2010.

Aquarelle Kids Academy is owned by a business group who recently made central Florida their home. They have young children of their own and are fully aware of your needs. They have hired Alison Petrie as director of the school. Alison has 14 years of experience owning and directing preschools in Lake, Orange and Seminole counties. Together with the capable and professional staff they will strive to provide high quality care and education for your children. They want to partner with families, area elementary schools, and the community to give children the support, nurturing, and education to promote school readiness skills.

Aquarelle Kids Academy is proud to announce that the school has become nationally accredited by the Florida Association of Child Care Management. Accreditation validates that the school provides a safe, nurturing environment and that through its caring knowledgeable teachers and effective administration prepares children for future success in school. The school contracts with Polk and Lake counties to accept School Readiness vouchers. If you are eligible for these vouchers, ask about your new low parent fees. Our school is also contracting with Lake County Public Schools to accept children of teenage parents. To prevent these parents from dropping out of high school we will care for their children during school hours.

The school has an open-door parent policy. They welcome and encourage family participation. In each of the decorated rooms you will find age-appropriate toys and equipment. The facility has many enriched resource materials and well equipped reading readiness stations. You will find teachers interacting with children engaged in play. Teachers will establish learning goals for each child and will use the award winning Highreach Learning Curriculum and Creative Curriculum to accomplish these goals. The director will ensure that parents and staff openly communicate about the progress of each child. Daily and weekly progress reports are distributed to families. The three outside playgrounds are an extension to learning from the indoor classrooms. There is a wide range of playground equipment to promote good physical health in a safe environment.
