Get Ready to Bumble!

The Take Stock in Children Annual Corporate Spelling Bee will take place on September 23, 2010. Take Stock in Children is a statewide program that offers motivated at-risk children the opportunity to earn a college tuition scholarship. The comprehensive program provides the students with a mentor, holds students accountable for grades and behavior and involves parents in the students' education. Funds raised for the scholarships are matched by the State of Florida and 100% of the contributions stay in our community to sponsor local students in Lake and Sumter county schools.

You can be a part of this very worthy cause by giving the gift of education and helping break the cycle of poverty. Corporations, individuals, civic groups, small businesses and foundations can make a difference by sponsoring, making a monetary contribution, participating as a team of eight ($1,000), team of four ($500) or as a spectator ($25) in the Spelling Bee. Dinner and a drink is included. Teams confer on the answers to earn points. Enjoy a night of fun and friendly competition! The event will be held at Lake Receptions in Mt. Dora.
