GFWC Four Corners Jr. Woman's Club Fashion Show and Luncheon

Members of GFWC Four Corners Junior Woman's Club continue to solicit donations of gifts and services from community businesses and artists for the 3rd Annual Fashion Show and Luncheon -- "Fall Fling," scheduled for Saturday, November 5, 2011 at ChampionsGate Golf Club. The program begins at 11:30AM.

Donation for the fashion show and luncheon is $25. This is the organization's primary fundraising event. The menu features feathers, fins and fruit, with iced tea, coffee and assorted cookies. Several members are modeling autumn outfits. Fashions are sponsored by Chico's at Winter Garden Village at Fowlers Grove in Winter Garden. Leah Turner will emcee the program. Ms. Turner is a former Clubwoman and Chief Marketing Officer at Turner Time Consulting in the Tampa area. In addition to the fashion show and lunch, there will be a 50/50 raffle and Chinese auction of donated gift baskets.

Proceeds from the event will purchase books for schoolchildren, fund weekend grocery backpacks for students, provide operational monies for The Way Center, a transitional residential center providing social services for women and youth in need or crisis, fund a scholarship for a local high school senior through the Polk Education Foundation, and assist The Humane Society of Polk County which runs a no-kill shelter. This year all tickets must be prepaid.
