Pastfinders Genealogy Society

Thursday, January 19, 2012

Pastfinders General Meeting February 9, 2012 will be in Conference Room 108 from 5:00:-7:00 pm at Cooper Memorial Library on Oakley Seaver Dr. in Clermont. As February is Black History month, VP Esther Long will be introducing a special video about the life of a prince abducted from his people in Africa and transported in a slave ship to America to be sold as a slave. This film gives a special perspective on one person's drastic change of the status of his life and how he then experiences what has become his new life. A brief business meeting will be followed by the video. The meeting may have to move upstairs to the Special Collections Room for the video due to time conflict with another event needing set up time in our usual Room 108.
