Davenport School of the Arts Presents "Annie"

Friday, April 22, 2011

Direction by Sandy Cain - Assistant Direction by Robert Moszenberg - Book by Thomas Meehan - Music by Charles Strouse - Lyrics by Martin Charnin. Based on the Tribune Media Service Comic Strip, Little Orphan Annie. ANNIE is produced with permission from Music Theatre International.

The DSA Drama department is proud to present our very first school wide production in the brand new Frank R. Howes Theatre! Annie, the junior version, was the very first show performed at the old campus 8 years ago. So, it is quite fitting this musical theatre favorite would be the one selected to begin this new chapter of DSA's story. The show features about 80 students from 2nd through 8th grade and includes special cameo performances by both Drama teachers!

The show dates are May 13 at 7 p.m. - May 14 at 2 and 7 p.m. - May 20 at 7 p.m. - May 21 at 2 and 7 p.m. Tickets go on sale to the general public on April 25th. Please visit our new box office from 7:45-8:15 each school morning or 3:00 - 3:30 each school afternoon. Tickets are $5 per person, except for the Saturday night performance on the 14th ($7) because of the special gala we are holding after the show celebrating our very first opening weekend! Tickets will also be available at the door. The new Davenport School of the Arts campus is located at 4751 N. CR 547, Davenport, 33837 Phone: 863-420-2557.
