Volunteers Needed for Good Shepherd Hospice
Friday, July 15, 2011
Good Shepherd Hospice has volunteer opportunities available in its marketing department. Volunteers are needed both for the speaker's bureau and community relations. Anyone who has good presentation skills and a desire to spread the "good word" of hospice would be welcome to talk to the public at area health fairs or make presentations about hospice to senior, civic and church groups as part of the speaker's bureau. Specific hospice training will be provided at no charge.
Volunteers are also needed to contact churches, Chambers of Commerce, businesses and community leaders to update Good Shepherd Hospice databases. Other general office work could include mailing, filing and clipping news articles related to hospice.
Please contact Pam Yarbrough at (863) 551-3923 for more information. Volunteers are needed in all parts of Polk, Highlands and Hardee counties.
Good Shepherd Hospice is a not-for-profit, JCAHO-accredited organization that provides patient and family care in Polk, Hardee and Highlands Counties for those coping with the last 12 months of a life-limiting illness.
