Montverde Academy Students Win Scholarships at Programming Competition
Friday, December 16, 2011
Last month, Montverde Academy programming students traveled to Stetson University and participated in a programming competition in which students were given a series of logic-based conundrums, which they were asked to decipher and solve with the formation/encrypting of their own computer program. Competition officials provided participants with at least ten logic-related problems that generated academic challenges that students were required to remedy in three hours. Each member of the winning team will earn a $20,000 scholarship to attend Stetson University. Among other prizes, every person participating in the competition will earn a minimum of $2,000 in scholarships. Montverde Academy won tenth place, place bringing home collectively, a remarkable $72,000.00 in student scholarships!
