Harris Chain Sail & Power Squadron celebrates National Safe Boating Week by offering the public two unique seminars
ANCHORING seminar covers selection of anchor, rode and components, anchor selection for sea conditions and bottom characteristics, and deployment and recovery of anchors. It also includes tables for sizing an anchor and components, and information for determining loads under various conditions.
This class will be held on Tuesday, May 24, 2011 at the Leesburg Cultural Arts Building, West Room: located in Venetian Gardens on the corner of Dixie (Hwy 44) and Dozier Circle.
Registration starts at 6:30 PM, class begins at 7:00 PM. Class cost $30 and includes a textbook and copies of the slide presentation.
