Pete and Stan Wells will demonstrate using Griffith’s Valuation, the National Library of Ireland, findmypast.com and other sources of Irish research. Have Questions? Bring ’em, we will try to answer them. The party starts at 1 PM, -3 PM, Wednesday, April 19, 2017. More info please email us at PASTFINDERSSLC@GMAIL.COM
The Computer Users’ Group meets at 1 PM on the third Wednesday of the month in Room 221 at the Cooper Memorial Library. Our goal for 2017 is to provide information for beginners in using the computer and the internet to gather and organize their family history. I strongly encourage beginners to come to the meeting with their most pressing concerns regarding the use of computers. All computer assistance and training is with the Windows operating system and by now, you should be using Windows 10. Does Windows 10 make it easier or harder for you to use you computer applications and programs? We can help. Most of our group use Family Tree Maker and Ancestry.com, are you getting the maximum benefits from this software, if not, we can help. If you haven’t even started using a genealogy program, we can help you find the right one.
