Moving Forward at Ridge

Posted on Wednesday, February 15, 2017 at 1:08 am

When Pastors Ed and Debbie Keaton moved into northeast Polk County nearly 20 years ago, the area was a sea of orange groves interrupted by the occasional fast food restaurant or gas station. Almost twenty years later, the area has grown into a bustle of business and commerce. Sitting on 28 acres just 2 miles south of the I-4 interchange, Ridge Assembly of God has been growing with the community. Known as ‘A Church for the Nations’, Ridge Assembly is a multicultural body of believers who have a heart to serve God and their community.
In addition to the church, the property houses a Pre-School and K-12 Academy. Ridge Christian Academy is a SACS/ILCS accredited school where students not only study the basics, but have the opportunity to impact their community and beyond through academic and fine arts competitions, missions projects and community service.
Much like our surrounding community, Ridge Assembly has taken on a fresh new look! Beginning February 19th we will be having two services, 9AM and 10:30AM. Our new Lead Pastors Rob and Jamie serve and connect with young couples and families in the area. Pastors Mike and Chloe offer a host of activities for the youth and college age groups such as Wednesday night Youth Service, monthly Thursday night Young Adult service, Fine Arts Festival, missions trips both at home and abroad, Fusion Youth Convention and Pen-Florida Summer Camp. Pastor Theresa and her team provide an action-packed children’s ministry. Pastor Ed leads a Tuesday morning service for the Senior Citizens. The 10:30AM Sunday services are broadcast via U-Stream and bring visitors from around the world.
If asked why Ridge Assembly exists, the Pastors and congregation will proudly answer, “To reach the world with the life-changing message of Jesus Christ.”
