Pig on the Pond Community Festival is an event sponsored by Project Scholars, a 503(c)3 nonprofit organization that helps provide scholarships to deserving high school students in south Lake County. The three-day festival is held each spring at the Waterfront Park in Clermont located at 103rd Street. This year’s event starts on Friday, March 3rd from 5 pm to 10 pm. The gates open on Saturday, March 4th at 10 am to 10 pm, and on Sunday, March 5th from 11 am to 6 pm.
The festival, bringing family fun to the south Lake County community since 1998, features delicious barbecue, live entertainment, exciting carnival rides for the young and young at heart, extraordinary fireworks, and more, with returning favorites such as the Chili Cook Off Challenge and Chase’s Racing Pigs.
Over 50 local businesses and 20 non-profit organizations participate in the festival, making it an exciting event for the whole family, with adult admission being only $5, admission for children ages 2-6 being only $3, and children under 2 coming in free.
There is no on-site parking, but there are five shuttles that run between the event and Clermont Middle School, Clermont Park and Ride, and the Citrus Tower Professional Center. Motorcycle parking is at Cypress Ridge Elementary School, and handicap parking is available on-site on a first come first serve basis.
Visit www.pigonthepond.org for more information including the event schedule. We hope you and your family will attend the festival and help fund scholarships in south Lake County.
