Two Polk County students have been awarded scholarships through the 2015 National Achievement Scholarship Program.
Trevorn Hodge attends Bartow Senior High, and Jeremiah D. Masseus attends the International Baccalaureate School at Bartow Senior High. Each received a $2,500 scholarship.
They are among approximately 800 high school seniors nationwide to receive scholarship awards through this program.
The National Achievement Scholarship Program is an annual academic competition to recognize promising black students. The program, started in 1964, has bestowed about $108 million worth of awards to more than 34,200 young men and women.
