To further honor the memory of the deceased from 9-11, and to pay tribute to the civilian heroes and first responders who saved so many more lives, a Prayer, Share and Tribute Program will be held at Woodlands Lutheran Church on Wednesday, September 28, at 7:00pm.
Joining with members of Woodlands Church will be families of those who perished, survivors, witnesses to the attacks, first responders, recovery workers, members of the military, and those whose recollections of that terrible day are still raw memories.
Included in this program will be an Honor Guard, Christian themed-patriotic music, a video and message about a first responder-hero of 9-11, and a time of prayer before the altar.
Also, as part of the program, the photos and names of the victims of the 9-11 attack on America will be placed at the foot of the altar. Members, and guests, are encouraged to bring photos of family and friends who died as a result of that assault on our nation, and also place their remembrances before the altar.
Additonally, there will be photos of the 9-11 heroes and first responders placed before the altar. You are also encouraged to bring photos of both these heroes, and those of any first responders, and members of the military, who have answered the ‘call’ in defense of our freedom and protection since September 11, 2001.
During the program Sr. Pastor Brian Kneser will lead a time of prayer over the photos and names of the departed, the rescuers and those committed to defend our country so that another 9-11 should never, ever darken our shores again.
For this special evening, please dress in our national colors: Red, White and Blue.
A time of fellowship and refreshments will follow the program.
