It’s that time of year again! Everyone is motivated to make a change in their life for the better. Do you want to look better? Maybe you want to eat healthier. I personally want to start exercising again. However motivated people are, most manage to get derailed from their goals by the end of January. Here are some tips that can keep you on the right path so that your new year’s resolution can be a success.
Start your resolution. Set a start date and stick to it. On some years I tell myself, I will start next week…then the next. Before I know it, it’s February and I never started my New Year’s resolution. Track your results. I like to use a calendar and cross each day off that I am following through with my resolution. When you get a string of “X”s on the calendar, try not to break the chain. If you mess up, try, try again. If you are like me, you are going to miss a day or two. Get back up and start crossing more days off. The goal is to have more “X”s than blank days, not to be perfect.
