Toys and new or like new books for children up to the age of thirteen may be donated unwrapped between now and December 16 at the Haines City Public Library, 111 N. 6th Street.
The books should be put in the drop box in the lobby outside the library. The drop box for toys is inside the library. The lobby opens at 9:30 am, one half hour before the library opens. The lobby remains open during library hours: 7:00 pm Mondays, 8:00 pm Tuesdays, 6:00 pm Wednesdays and Thursday, 5:00 pm Fridays and 3:00 pm Saturdays.
These books and toys will be given to needy children for Christmas. They will be distributed by Toys for Tots, a national organization affiliated with the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve.
